About Vedic Astrology
Here i include a translation from Brihad Parasara Hora Sastra, 3.12-13
The Sun is the Soul of all. The Moon is the mind. Mars is one’s strength. Mercury is the speech giver. || 12||
While Jupiter confesses knowledge and happiness. Venus governs semen while Saturn is grief. ||13||
It is not an accident that the sloka starts by describing meaning of Sun and Moon and then goes on to describe Mars and Mercury. Jupiter, Venus and lastly Saturn are mentioned later in the sloka.
It is a scientifically known fact that Sun and Moon sustain life on this planet, the rhythm of life is all govern my Sun and Moon. The Vedic literature not only talks about the importance of these two heavenly bodies at the physical level but at metaphysical level as well. Thus in a Vedic astrological chart, if someone has Sun and Moon well placed, even with other planets not in an ideal position, the subject will be able to deal with the purpose of life in the most optimal way.
In my opinion, in the current environment the most important planet apart from Sun and Moon is Mercury.
Mercury is a fast moving planet that governs speech, communication, ideas generation and as the saying goes “Pen (aka words) is mightier than sword” A well balanced Mercury can not only make your life easy, but also will be a key energy source in transformation and take you towards your life purpose. It is not an accident that a lot of good communicators in the world and influencers have a balanced Mercury. In Vastushatra, mercury governs North and North North West direction. A well balanced Mercury will lead to more opportunities and ability to attract many opportunities.
Jupiter another key planet in our solar system that governs knowledge and depicts your acumen to be a teacher, mentor, coach and/or your father, spouse (in female chart), teacher, boss etc. Jupiter governs two key direction in Vastu - North East and South East. Jupiter when balanced will protect you from any hardship or obstacles just like a Teacher, Mentor, Father or your spouse will do. This energy source has the ability to teach you a lesson when you deviated from true purpose in life.
Saturn, my favourite planet. You all would have experienced its energy in day to day life without realising it. Have you come across a situation where things seem to have come to standstill or very slow, it is the effect of this energy that makes an individual slow down and consider its past Karma whether in this life or previous lives. The sole purpose of this energy source is to teach you, grow you and put you on the path to Moksha. It is not a surpise that Saturn own House 10 and 11. House 10 represents Karma, while House 11 represents your luck and gains in life. As a result in Vastu, the directions given to Saturn are West, South and South South East.
So if you want to know what messages, blessings and omens these planet are sending you based on your Birth and Vastu chart, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
With lots of blessings
